Senior Project Manager

 

Description:

Turner & Townsend Heery, a leading name in project and program management for public sector organizations, is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee large-scale construction projects for public sector and religious institutions. This role involves end-to-end project management and owner’s representation services, ensuring compliance with design, budget, schedule, and quality standards.

The selected candidate will serve as the central point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders, ensuring seamless project execution and client satisfaction. The position requires strong leadership, communication, and strategic advisory capabilities, with a focus on driving projects from planning through completion.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee projects to ensure adherence to design, budget, and timeline requirements.

  • Interface with client representatives, contractors, architects, engineers, and consultants to coordinate all aspects of project execution.

  • Support design processes, assess constructability, and provide early-stage construction input.

  • Oversee contract and budget ownership for assigned projects, ensuring timely invoicing and financial health monitoring.

  • Lead project planning activities, including risk management, performance monitoring, and change control processes.

  • Manage procurement of materials, testing, inspection, commissioning services, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE).

  • Conduct kick-off and progress meetings with key stakeholders to ensure project alignment.

  • Monitor compliance with all client policies, quality assurance (QA/QC), safety, and regulatory requirements.

  • Coordinate project closeout activities, including as-built documentation and final deliverables.

  • Drive continuous improvement in project management procedures, templates, and best practices.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

  • Professional certifications preferred (CCM, PMP, AIA, PE, etc.).

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in owner’s representation or project management for large-scale public sector or religious construction projects.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to independently manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Expertise in advising clients at a strategic level and managing complex stakeholder relationships.

  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work on-site five days a week or rotate between sites.

  • Experience working in the USA with public sector or institutional systems.
