Senior Project Manager

Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. (LAN) is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior Project Manager (Wastewater) to lead the planning, design, and execution of major water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a dynamic leader to contribute to projects that enhance community sustainability, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee multidisciplinary teams through every project phase—from concept and preliminary design to final delivery—while ensuring technical accuracy, client satisfaction, and regulatory compliance. Your leadership will drive the successful completion of treatment plant and wastewater system projects, ensuring they meet the highest engineering and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Leadership: Lead and manage all aspects of water and wastewater treatment infrastructure projects, including planning, design, budgeting, scheduling, and delivery.

• Client Management: Act as the primary liaison with clients, maintaining strong partnerships, ensuring satisfaction, and delivering exceptional service throughout the project lifecycle.

• Team Collaboration: Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subconsultants, providing clear direction while maintaining quality control and technical integrity.

• Regulatory Coordination: Manage communication with regulatory agencies to ensure all necessary permits and environmental standards are achieved.

• Financial Oversight: Prepare and monitor financial work plans, manage project budgets, and ensure profitability.

• Staff Development: Mentor and support engineering staff, fostering growth and technical expertise across project teams.

• Innovation & Problem Solving: Identify opportunities for innovation in design, efficiency improvement, and cost reduction while maintaining high operational standards.

• Business Development: Contribute to proposals, presentations, and strategic pursuits to strengthen LAN’s market presence and business growth.

Required Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an accredited university.

• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.

• 12+ years of progressive experience in water and wastewater treatment design, including leadership and project management responsibilities.

Preferred Education & Experience

• Proven record of success managing treatment projects through all phases—from conceptual design to construction support.

• Deep understanding of industry standards, regulatory requirements, and environmental compliance best practices.

• Up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and innovations in water and wastewater treatment systems.

• Strong communication, leadership, and client-facing abilities with demonstrated experience in collaborative project environments.

Physical and Workplace Requirements

• On-site position based in Dallas, TX.

• Requires coordination with internal and external stakeholders across multiple disciplines.
