Description:
The Senior QA Automation Engineer will be part of the Central Quality Assurance (CQA) Automation team, responsible for developing and maintaining automation frameworks, tools, and technologies. The role involves mentoring and coaching across the Ratings QA organization to deliver high-quality automation solutions.
You will design and develop reusable automated regression suites and test harnesses, collaborate closely with development teams, lead test planning and execution, and ensure testing activities meet project deadlines in an Agile environment.
Design, develop, and maintain automation solutions and test frameworks that meet organizational standards.
Create quality tools and reusable test code for complex testing scenarios.
Develop test plans, execute test cases, analyze, and report results.
Act as a test lead by planning and assigning work to testing staff.
Review and approve testing scripts and defect descriptions, ensuring adherence to best practices.
Focus on automation for Web, Services/APIs, and Database testing.
Participate in cross-team meetings, project scoping, functional and technical reviews in Agile.
Conduct risk analysis and capture QA metrics to provide insights.
Support CI/CD pipelines related to QA automation scripts.
Basic Required Qualifications:
8+ years of software testing experience including all testing phases.
6+ years of experience as a QA Automation developer.
Proficient with automation tools such as Selenium (Python preferred), Tricentis Tosca.
Strong hands-on experience with Python and OOP concepts; JavaScript experience is a plus.
Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure for automation testing.
5+ years Agile experience (Scrum preferred).
Experience testing SOAP and REST services and understanding SOA architecture.
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks (mandatory).
SQL skills for database querying.
Experience with Git or distributed source control.
Familiarity with change management and defect tracking tools.
Knowledge of cloud technologies (AWS/Azure), testing microservices, containers, Docker, Kubernetes.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
High integrity and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Base salary range: $95,000 to $125,000 (varies by location, experience, skills).
