Senior Software Engineer

Grandview Technology Solutions (GVTS) delivers state-of-the-art data management and reporting solutions to financial service providers. Our platforms harmonize investment systems data with market and analytical data to clean and enrich data assets and to create actionable insights.

Grandview seeks a talented, experienced front-end engineer and UI/UX developer with 5+ years of relevant work experience to lead the development and evolution of our client-facing solutions. Typescript and React are the current language and framework.

The ideal candidate will exhibit excellent technical and aesthetic skills and a strong UI design sense. Clear, concise, and timely communication is needed in our highly collaborative, small team process. We need your willingness to give and receive constructive criticism, and your energy and enthusiasm to help move the company and product forward. Clear communication, curiosity, creativity, attention to detail and eagerness to learn are essential for success in this role.

We rapidly deliver platform capabilities with a small team of highly talented individuals, so this is a challenging role that is not for everyone. It combines software architecting, coding, and UI/UX design. In this multi-faceted role, you can expect to:

• design and innovate new and better ways of managing application state, data flows, navigation, etc.
• contribute clean, reusable, polished code, not one-off solutions
• participate in code reviews, pull requests, and working sessions with other front- and back-end developers;
• produce high-quality, modern, professional UIs with close attention to detail.

Job Responsibilities

• Design and build responsive, scalable, reusable, performant, and testable front-end solutions in Typescript + React (and/or Solid)
• Design and polish professional-looking screens according to principles of state-of-the-art UI/UX design
• Code reviews, pair programming, and peer-to-peer learning
• Testing and quality assurance including debugging and problem solving
• Maintain existing front-end code and refactor as appropriate
• Maintain and refine build infrastructure and tooling
• Innovate within the codebase and user experience
