Senior Storage Administrator

Description:

JANUS Research Group is seeking a Senior Storage Administrator to support IT Services and Support (ITSS) for the U.S. Army Product Lead Acquisition, Logistics, and Technology Enterprise Systems and Services (PL ALTESS) in support of the Program Executive Office Enterprise (PEO Enterprise). The role requires managing, maintaining, deploying, troubleshooting, and supporting servers and storage systems for ALTESS and its customers.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting mixed storage hardware environments and coordinating with OS and storage teams.

• Implementing new system hardware/software and developing local operating procedures and policies.

• Monitoring system operations, generating utilization reports, identifying issues, and recommending solutions.

• Recommending and implementing technology upgrades to expand and improve efficiency.

• Maintaining storage and network policies, disaster recovery procedures, and SOPs.

• Refreshing data between environments per application development requests.

• Administering storage networks and managing backup software for Windows Server, Solaris, and RHEL Linux.

• Performing tasks in MS Windows, Solaris, RHEL/OEL Linux, and VMware environments.

• Writing and executing scripts using Powershell and Bash, and demonstrating strong CLI skills.

Minimum Qualifications & Skills:

• Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

• CompTIA Security+ certification and/or Computing Environment (CE) Certification (MCSE, Server+, CCNA, RedHat, Palo, etc.) or ability to obtain.

• 3+ years experience with enterprise storage systems, networks, virtualization, OS environments, and backup solutions.

• Strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Experience supporting cybersecurity patch management, STIG, SRG, RMF, SCAV, and CORA.
