Senior Strategist

 

Description:

Lincoln Financial is seeking a Senior Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Strategist to drive enterprise-wide supplier governance and relationship initiatives from their Radnor, PA office in a hybrid setting (3 days onsite preferred). This strategic position plays a critical role in aligning vendor performance with enterprise goals, improving contract oversight, managing escalations, and strengthening collaboration between Lincoln and its external suppliers.

The ideal candidate will serve as a subject matter expert on supplier governance, performance monitoring, and contract deliverables while fostering strategic partnerships and optimizing vendor relationships for value creation and cost efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the escalation point for vendor performance issues and manage the quality of supplier interactions.

  • Monitor and ensure delivery of contracted commitments including SLAs, pricing, and termination clauses.

  • Implement and lead SRM governance processes across business units.

  • Coordinate across Legal, IT, Compliance, TPRM, and internal VMOs to align on goals and compliance.

  • Utilize digital tools and platforms to track supplier performance and manage data.

  • Evaluate supplier spend and help drive cost reduction through strategic analysis and negotiations.

  • Develop and maintain balanced scorecards to monitor SLA and KPI compliance.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to ensure vendor innovation aligns with business needs.

  • Recommend and direct process improvements for efficiency, risk reduction, and enhanced service delivery.

  • Provide consultative support to business units on complex procurement and relationship challenges.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

  • 5–7+ years of experience in supplier relationship management or related fields such as strategic sourcing or vendor governance.

  • Demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and complex vendor portfolios.

  • Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.

  • High adaptability in a fast-changing environment.

  • Experience managing internal stakeholder expectations and facilitating senior-level discussions.

Additional Information:

  • Pay Range: $93,300 – $169,700 annually (approx. $7775–14141/month).

  • Additional compensation may include bonuses and long-term incentives based on performance.
