Appleton Finn is representing a nationally recognized Top 10 ENR General Contractor actively seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to join their elite Mission Critical division. This is a high-impact leadership role focusing on delivering large-scale, complex data center and mission-critical construction projects across the United States.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong history of successfully managing fast-paced commercial construction projects with precision, quality, and an emphasis on safety. This role involves hands-on leadership, overseeing all on-site construction operations, including supervision of personnel and subcontractors, project scheduling, resource allocation, and stringent quality control.

Working within a company known for innovation and safety, you will contribute to projects involving some of the largest technology and infrastructure clients. You will coordinate closely with project managers and various stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and comply fully with specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Thoroughly analyze construction plans and specifications to develop optimal construction procedures, scheduling, and labor planning.

• Coordinate with project managers for schedule development and detailed look-ahead planning.

• Lead pre-construction site meetings and ensure proper site mobilization.

• Oversee procurement and timely delivery of tools, materials, and equipment aligned with project timelines.

• Direct on-site operations and supervise subcontractors and workforce to meet quality and safety standards.

• Serve as the main liaison between field teams, subcontractors, engineers, and project stakeholders to resolve issues effectively.

• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure adherence to project documentation.

• Collaborate with workforce managers to optimize labor allocation and productivity across projects.

• Enforce company safety protocols rigorously, maintaining quality standards and site cleanliness.

• Facilitate daily and weekly meetings to monitor progress and proactively address challenges.

• Support client relations by providing consistent project updates and ensuring client satisfaction.

• Mentor junior superintendents, foremen, and site staff, participating in evaluations and training efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.

• Minimum 10 years of supervisory or management experience in construction, with 7+ years focused on commercial or MEP projects.

• Proven expertise managing large-scale mission critical or data center construction projects.

• Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities in high-pressure environments.

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools.

• Sound knowledge of construction contracts, building codes, and industry best practices.

• Skilled in subcontractor negotiation and jobsite conflict resolution.

• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.

• Valid driver’s license.

• Preferred certifications include LEED AP, OSHA 30, AGC membership.
