Senior Systems Engineer

Mondrian Alpha, representing a leading global systematic trading firm, is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer with expertise in physical security infrastructure. This role is pivotal in ensuring the design, deployment, integration, and automation of advanced physical security systems across the firm’s global office network.

The selected candidate will collaborate closely with the security, infrastructure, and workplace engineering teams, working hands-on with cutting-edge security technologies such as access control systems (ACS), video surveillance systems (VSS), intrusion detection systems (IDS), biometric systems, cameras, and advanced identity management platforms. The engineer will have complete ownership over physical security systems, from architecture and planning to implementation and automation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Designing, building, and integrating physical security solutions aligned with organizational requirements.

• Implementing, configuring, and managing ACS, VSS, IDS, biometric access, and other physical security components.

• Leveraging programming skills in Python, Go, or PowerShell to create automation tools, improve workflows, and enhance system efficiency.

• Ensuring seamless integration of physical security systems with network infrastructure while maintaining robust network security standards.

• Working with security protocols such as OSDP and SNMP to ensure high reliability and security compliance.

• Coordinating with global teams for smooth rollout of security systems across multiple office locations.

• Maintaining technical documentation, performing troubleshooting, and ensuring system uptime.

• Staying updated with emerging physical security technologies and industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in physical security systems (ACS, VSS, IDS).

• Strong hands-on knowledge of security protocols (OSDP, SNMP).

• Proficiency in automation scripting with Python, Go, or PowerShell.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and Linux environments is a plus.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent communication skills to work in a cross-functional, high-performance environment.
