Senior Talent Sourcer

Thrivent, a Fortune 500 diversified financial services organization, is seeking a Sr Sourcer to join its Talent Acquisition team. This position plays a key role in building robust talent pipelines and proactively identifying and pre-qualifying Financial Representative (FR) candidates to support business growth.

The Sr Sourcer will work in partnership with regional and market leadership to understand talent needs, design innovative sourcing strategies, and identify both active and passive candidates through diverse channels. This role ensures Thrivent continues to attract high-quality, diverse talent while maintaining a positive candidate experience and positioning Thrivent as an employer of choice.

This position offers flexibility as it can be performed remotely from anywhere in the U.S. with occasional travel as business needs require.


Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with field leadership to understand hiring needs and market talent dynamics.

  • Proactively source and attract candidates using advanced search strategies across job boards, social media, referrals, direct sourcing, and internal databases.

  • Conduct initial phone screens to pre-qualify candidates and provide them with background on Thrivent’s culture and opportunities.

  • Maintain active pipelines of talent for current and future hiring needs.

  • Develop sourcing strategies to attract diverse candidate pools.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on labor market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry sourcing practices.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, recruiters, and hiring managers.

  • Use applicant tracking systems (Workday Recruiting) and remote collaboration tools effectively.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or minimum of 5+ years’ experience in recruitment, sourcing, or talent research.

  • Proven expertise in proactive sourcing, pipeline development, and market research.

  • Strong command of sourcing techniques including Boolean searches, social channels (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Facebook), direct sourcing, and referral networks.

  • Previous experience recruiting for financial services or sales positions is preferred.

  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (Workday Recruiting preferred).

  • Ability to influence, collaborate, and communicate effectively with leadership.

  • Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
