Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Video Editor to join our creative team. As a Senior Video Editor, you will play a critical role in creating compelling and visually stunning video content that captivates audiences and helps to achieve our company's marketing and communication goals. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire post-production process, from editing raw footage to adding special effects and motion graphics, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity.
Responsibilities:
- Edit and assemble raw footage into polished videos, ensuring smooth transitions, accurate sequencing, and optimal pacing
- Collaborate with creative directors, videographers, and other stakeholders to understand project objectives and provide creative input
- Utilize video editing software and tools to create visual effects, animations, and motion graphics that enhance the overall storytelling of the video content
- Incorporate music, sound effects, and voice-over recordings to enhance the visual elements of the video
- Ensure video content aligns with brand guidelines and maintains a consistent tone, style, and message
- Review and provide feedback on video drafts, making necessary revisions based on feedback and ensuring timely delivery of final videos
- Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in video editing techniques, software, and technology to continuously improve video production quality and efficiency
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior video editors, as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in film production, video editing, or a related field
- Proven work experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in video editing, motion graphics, and visual effects
- Proficient in using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or other industry-standard software
- Strong understanding of video production techniques, including color correction, audio editing, and storytelling
- Knowledge of visual effects, motion graphics, and animation techniques
- Excellent creativity, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with social media platforms and video optimization techniques for different platforms
- Proven experience working with 4K and higher resolution footage
