Description:

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Parts Specialist to deliver top-tier customer service to both retail and installer customers. This in-store role requires someone who is friendly, professional, and motivated to assist customers with merchandise selection, phone support, and various operational tasks. Ideal candidates will be service-driven, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist walk-in and phone-in customers with parts selection and related selling

  • Promote and follow all company customer service programs (e.g., Hi-5, Rock the Lot, Low Price Guarantee)

  • Provide excellent phone support, look up parts accurately, quote prices, and recommend premium items

  • Securely manage cash drawer, handle payments, returns, and exchanges per company policies

  • Assist with inventory tasks: stocking, cycle counts, preparing merchandise returns, and updating planograms

  • Perform in-store vehicle services (battery tests, wiper installation, diagnostics, etc.) where permitted

  • Operate store test equipment (e.g., brake lathe) after training

  • Drive delivery vehicle occasionally (must meet company driving eligibility)

  • Complete company-assigned training and certifications relevant to the position


Candidate Profile:
Required:

  • Strong customer service and communication skills

  • Ability to multitask and remain organized under pressure

  • Comfortable with alphanumeric sequencing and basic retail operations

Preferred:

  • Familiarity with automotive parts and catalog systems

  • ASE certification

  • Bilingual (Spanish preferred)

  • Prior experience in automotive sales or service
