Description:

Chipotle Mexican Grill is seeking a dynamic and energetic Service Leader for its Brooklyn, NY location. This full-time position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences while managing restaurant operations. The Service Leader plays a key frontline supervisory role in maintaining service quality, food safety, and team development within a fast-paced restaurant environment.

At Chipotle, leadership begins on the floor. The Service Leader will be expected to lead by example, manage the flow of the restaurant, and support a high-functioning crew to deliver high-quality food and stellar guest experiences. This is a hands-on role that requires being actively engaged in operations throughout the shift.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure great-tasting, high-quality food is consistently prepared and served.

  • Support and uphold food safety practices including monitoring hand hygiene, time and temperature control, shelf-life limits, and food safety checklists.

  • Lead front-of-house crew operations, including line management, guest service, and cleanliness.

  • Manage customer incidents with a service-first mindset to promote a positive dining experience.

  • Oversee and support shift changeovers, breaks, team meetings, and daily line schedules.

  • Help cross-train and mentor new and existing front-line team members.

  • Assist in evaluating crew performance and identifying future service leaders.

  • Manage administrative tasks such as office supplies, banking duties, and paperwork.

  • Ensure all restaurant and office equipment is functional and well-maintained.

  • Maintain a well-stocked restaurant by monitoring supply levels and reordering when necessary.


Required Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Experience: Previous restaurant experience is required; supervisory experience is a plus.

  • Knowledge:

    • Familiarity with food safety and health department guidelines.

    • Understanding of cash handling procedures and daily store paperwork.

    • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the restaurant location.

    • A clear grasp of Chipotle’s Food with Integrity philosophy and operational values.
