Service Manager

 

Description:

We are looking for a motivated Service Manager to lead and coordinate our team of service and maintenance technicians. In this role, you’ll be the key link between our technicians, customers, and internal departments, ensuring high-quality service and timely project completion.

 

You’ll report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for scheduling, inventory coordination, customer communications, and technician development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prioritize service and maintenance jobs to meet deadlines and adapt to schedule changes
  • Lead daily service meetings and provide updates on job assignments and expectations
  • Oversee inventory picking for jobs, track parts usage, and coordinate with inventory and billing departments
  • Monitor progress and quality of service/maintenance work; ensure jobs are ready for billing
  • Coordinate with customers and technicians through our Spire job scheduling platform
  • Manage technician performance, hiring, training, and development
  • Ensure smooth jobsite logistics for deliveries and project execution
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, providing exceptional service

 

Requirements & Qualifications

  • Experience in service or field management, preferably in dairy equipment or ag-related industries
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of dairy milking equipment installation, repair, and operation
  • Ability to operate specialty tools, equipment, and a forklift
