Services Manager II

Description:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, retail management, or related discipline OR an advanced degree in business administration, operations management, retail management, or related discipline.

• Five or more years of service management, operations and supervision experience in a related museum, historic site, entertainment or retail services environment, including ticketing/admissions, retail store, visitor information and facility use coordination.

• Demonstrated ability to think imaginatively and problem solve.

• Knowledge of personnel management practices, office procedures, accounting principles and administrative methods in order to administer the visitor services functions.

• Knowledge of or ability to learn scheduling, ticketing and retail software.

• Proven ability to train others in serving the public.

• Experience hiring, supervising, mentoring, coaching, and disciplining employees.

• Superior customer service skills and ability to work with a diverse clientele from all over the world.

• Know or have the ability to learn scheduling, ticketing and retail inventory software.

• Ability to do basic math for daily sales reports, pricing and keeping track of inventory.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong knowledge of range of Mill City Museum programming.

• Strong knowledge of Minneapolis

• Advanced financial skills and ability to complete financial and statistical reports and customer analysis.

• Practical experience with networked computers and the staff that support them.

• Ability to multi-task in a dynamic and demanding environment.

• Ability to work with others in a professional and courteous manner, as well as being a team player to fulfill mission of site.
