Description:
As the Site Finance Manager at Regal Rexnord's Florence, KY plant, this role is crucial in overseeing and managing all aspects of financial activities for the plant. This includes the control of financial data, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting to ensure the facility's performance aligns with both short-term and long-term goals. The manager will serve as a key partner to the local operations team, aiding them in making informed, data-driven decisions to improve both cost management and operational efficiency.
Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Regularly summarize and present the financial results, breaking down key sales and cost drivers to plant leadership.
Lead the variance analysis process, comparing actual results to key benchmarks, such as budget forecasts and prior year figures, providing insights into the causes behind performance fluctuations.
Support plant leadership in setting performance objectives and financial goals by clearly communicating the assumptions that underpin financial data.
Business Partnership:
Work closely with management to provide in-depth financial analysis, which includes cost management, resource allocation, and working capital optimization.
Partner with operations and other departments to provide insights for critical decisions, such as make/buy choices, capital investments, and inventory management.
Develop and monitor key operational metrics that directly align with the facility’s performance goals, ensuring cost control and the reduction of inefficiencies.
Inventory & Cost Management:
Oversee the standard costing of inventory, ensuring that inventory-related expenses are accurately managed and aligned with financial forecasts.
Lead the annual standards roll process and physical inventory activities, ensuring that all inventory is accounted for correctly and any discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
Financial Project Management:
Lead various ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects that focus on improving the financial performance of the facility.
Provide actionable insights through these analyses, making recommendations that can improve the financial health of the site and the company as a whole.
Leadership & Team Management:
Manage and mentor a Cost Accountant, setting goals and expectations while supporting their professional growth and development within the company.
Ensure the finance team operates effectively, meeting key initiatives, and achieving growth targets while maintaining the financial integrity of the site.
Cross-Functional Leadership:
Collaborate with other finance professionals within the company to maintain a strong internal controls environment, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Influence business decisions at a cross-functional level, guiding the operations team and senior management on key financial matters.
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance is required. A CPA designation is preferred, providing additional credibility to the candidate's qualifications.
Experience:
At least 7 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting functions within a manufacturing environment, which should include experience with costing and financial controlling.
Previous experience in a leadership role is essential, as this role requires managing and guiding a team of financial professionals.
Skills:
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge in Excel (for building complex financial models and reports).
Experience with ERP systems such as Oracle, Hyperion (HFM), or OneStream is strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
