Site Reliability Engineer

STAND 8 provides end to end IT solutions to enterprise partners across the United States and with offices in Los Angeles, New York, New Jersey, Atlanta, and more including internationally in Mexico and India.

The Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems through a strong software engineering mindset. This role focuses on improving system resilience, automation, and observability by writing production-quality code and applying engineering best practices. The SRE partners closely with development teams to ensure systems are designed for reliability and scalability from inception. This position has a direct impact on platform stability, performance, and operational excellence.

Qualifications
Required:

• • Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable, and high-performance systems in Kubernetes-based environments.
  • Develop and maintain production-quality code to enhance automation, observability, and system resilience.
  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to ensure services are architected for reliability and scalability.
  • Implement and drive best practices for monitoring, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and incident response.
  • Partner with developers to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance, availability, and scalability issues.
    • • Strong background in software engineering with experience writing and maintaining production-grade code.
      • Experience with full-stack development and a strong interest in reliability, scalability, and operations.
      • Hands-on experience working within Kubernetes and containerized environments.
      • Experience with at least one modern programming language such as Golang, Python, Java, Rust, or similar.
      • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for building reliable systems at scale.
        • • Experience contributing to open-source projects or maintaining personal technical projects.
          • Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and modern DevOps practices.
          • Exposure to CI/CD tooling and automated testing strategies.
