Sitework Designer

Description:

The Sitework Designer role at US Tech Solutions offers an opportunity to contribute to site grading, drainage design, and environmental compliance projects with a flexible work schedule. Initially, you will spend one to two weeks onsite to learn the company’s processes before transitioning to a primarily remote work environment, with occasional office meetings and site visits.

As a Sitework Designer, you will be responsible for producing 3D models and detailed design drawings related to sitework grading and drainage. Your tasks will include preparing layouts and conceptual designs, reviewing vendor drawings, preparing material takeoffs, and assisting with cost estimation. Collaboration with plant staff, design engineering teams, and vendors will be essential to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create 3D models and detailed design drawings for site grading and drainage projects.

• Develop layouts and conceptual designs for sitework.

• Review and assess vendor drawings for accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare material takeoffs to assist with project cost estimation.

• Build and maintain effective working relationships with plant staff, design engineers, and vendors.

• Adhere to environmental regulations including GA-EPD, ADEM, MDEQ, and Florida DEP.

• Travel as required (approximately 25% of the time) for site visits and meetings.

Skills and Qualifications:

• 0 to 7 years of relevant experience in sitework design or related fields.

• Technical degree preferred.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with 3D modeling tools.

• Knowledge of environmental regulatory agencies and standards (GA-EPD, ADEM, MDEQ, Florida DEP).

• Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration across teams and vendors.

• Ability to work remotely after initial onsite training.
