Intern - Systems Engineers are responsible for analyzing, designing, programming, debugging, and modifying software for existing or new products/applications. The code you create by may be used in commercial, end-user applications and internal tools that improve efficiencies supporting our diverse industry segments and clients. Using current programming languages and technologies, you will write code, perform application testing and debugging, and document and create procedures for installation and maintenance. As an Intern - Systems Engineer, you may interact with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Students will be exposed to Software Development at one of the world’s leading marketing technology companies. Internship details:The internship will begin as defined by the terms outlined by your Forge &SkillBridge contract. This internship is crafted for The Forge Institute Forge Fellowship SkillBridge Applicants. The intern will work a 40/week during the period and will be allocated time to complete any required, assigned training. Applicants for this internship position with Acxiom in the U.S. must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with Acxiom (i.e., H1-B visa, F-1 visa (CPT/OPT), TN visa or any other non-immigrant status) What you will do:IT Operations support for various OS Technologies Learning opportunities including new cloud-based technologies Use & grow with automation tools, ect. Help senior engineers find new solutions to challenging problems Handle time, responsibilities, and priorities effectively with emphasis on contribution Share opinions and ideas openly with teammates Begin to understand fundamentals of work estimation Work in a teaming environment Build code that is well-formed and adheres to Acxiom guidelines (readability) Follow code plan provided by more senior staff Enforce to professional standards of conduct Establish relationships with Acxiom partners and grow those relationships as your career grows What you will need:A foundational understanding of software languages Java or other OOP Language (C++/C#/Python/Ruby) Expose to OS Technologies What will set you apart:Public Cloud vmWare Linux Windows Who are we seeking?
