Sit ’n Sleep, a well-established mattress and bedding retailer, is seeking enthusiastic and customer-focused Sleep Consultants to join its team in Gardena, CA. This role plays a key part in delivering the Sit ’n Sleep Experience, ensuring every customer receives personalized guidance, expert recommendations, and exceptional service in selecting the right sleep products.

The Sleep Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to customers, helping them make informed decisions with the support of bed match technology and a wide range of sales tools. Beyond sales, Sleep Consultants play an important role in maintaining store appearance, merchandising, and ensuring seamless order fulfillment and follow-up to provide an outstanding end-to-end guest experience.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Delivering the Sit ’n Sleep Experience consistently with every guest.

• Assisting customers with mattress and bedding purchases through active engagement, product knowledge, and tailored recommendations.

• Utilizing sales tools, bed match technology, and financing/payment programs to support the sales process.

• Managing customer relationships from the initial interaction through delivery or pick-up.

• Attending product trainings, company meetings, and ongoing skill development sessions.

• Maintaining store cleanliness, merchandising displays, and organized workstations daily.

• Completing post-sale follow-ups, including 48-hour call-ahead verifications and after-sale check-ins to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Monitoring and verifying order accuracy to maintain high standards of customer service.

• Supporting marketing activities such as hanging signs, tagging merchandise, and competitive shopping for products and services.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional, guest-first approach.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced retail environment.

• Must be willing to work overtime, holidays, and rotating shifts as required.

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs, and maneuver heavier items with equipment or assistance.

• Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.

Work Environment:

• Retail showroom environment with direct customer interaction.

• Requires prolonged standing, bending, reaching, and computer use.

• No travel required.
