Description:

The NY Automotive Experience Center - New York Auto Museum is a proposed innovative automotive museum facility slated to open circa 2025-2026 in Manhattan. It features a unique rooftop patio and glassed floors allowing visitors to experience sitting in up to 50 different historical vehicles simultaneously. 


Role Description:

This is a remote volunteer role requiring about 2 hours weekly. The Social Media Manager will manage the organization’s social media presence by creating content strategies, opening accounts on the top 10 platforms, utilizing social media aggregation tools, and disseminating content daily.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Open and manage social media accounts across top 10 platforms

  • Develop and implement social media content strategies

  • Write engaging posts to boost social media presence

  • Use social media aggregation tools to distribute content daily

  • Collaborate with museum team remotely


Qualifications:

  • Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) skills

  • Strong communication and writing skills

  • Experience in content strategy and social media management preferred

  • Knowledge or interest in the automotive industry is a plus

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively

  • Passion for automotive history and culture


Additional Information:

  • Volunteer role, non-paid

  • Approximately 1–2 hours per week commitment

  • Successful volunteers will receive a reference letter after 90 days
