Software Development Senior Manager

Description:

As a Senior Software Development Manager within the Networking organization, you will spearhead the development of innovative services in the Networking Automation & Health domain to enable AI super clusters. This initiative involves building a robust software stack from the ground up to monitor and manage network infrastructure, automatically resolve network issues, and ensure high bandwidth with low-latency connections essential for LLM workloads. You will assemble and lead a team that combines software engineering excellence with network control expertise, collaborating with senior technical leaders to design and deliver solutions to complex and impactful challenges.

This is an exciting and transformative time for us. We are rapidly growing, still in the early stages, and driving ambitious initiatives such as network control plane development, network health monitoring, and auto-recovery services. We are seeking an experienced M3-level manager with a deep understanding of systems design and distributed systems to build scalable, high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities
 

• Lead and coach engineering teams to deliver successful products and services.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry best practices, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation within the organization.
• Launching new cloud services and establishing operational excellence.
• Setting the technical direction for a foundational control-plane component used across OCI.
• Coaching, mentoring, and developing the best talent.
• Establishing and stimulating software development standards and processes, along with best practices for the team
• Defining new KPIs to inform decision making and prioritization.
• Sets Goals and Expectations for performance and works with employees to establish specific, measurable goals and commitments.
