Description:
VP, Software Engineering is responsible for leading software engineering teams in developing new systems and services for enabling the next generation of Mastercard’s Platform Services Architecture. You will establish and lead a team of technology professionals to build and launch a portfolio of software platforms/services that enable customers to integrate with Mastercard at the edge via APIs, Events, and Files. You will also be responsible for helping deliver and refining the technology strategy, financial planning, establishing delivery plans and overseeing the execution and delivery of program objectives. You will also establish and manage technology relationships with vendors and service integrators and other third party service providers.
Role:
- Responsible for the analysis, design, development and delivery of software solutions for Platform Services.
- Recruit, lead, and coach teams responsible for the Software Development of a portfolio of shared business services that are used across multiple products and domains.
- Work closely with business owners and other technology teams to define the roadmap for owned services and drive execution.
- Help identify, coach and groom top talent and pro-actively develops employees as organizational resources and the respective function's compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal process.
- Provide strategic thinking and leadership related to a wide range of applications and systems, or software-development methodologies.
- Drive change across processes, practices and technology within the organization by building a high caliber team that can deliver effectively and be a role model for the rest of the organization.
