Software Engineering Intern

Description:

MongoDB is seeking highly motivated Software Engineering Interns for Summer 2026 in San Francisco, CA. Interns will be fully integrated into software engineering teams across the Product and Technology organization and will gain practical experience by contributing production-level code to MongoDB’s products and services. The internship offers exposure to internal teams, external customers, and developer end users, with mentorship and career development support.

Interns will work on meaningful projects, learn development methodologies, and participate in a vibrant community with networking events, mentoring, and career coaching sessions. This is a full-time, 40-hour/week internship lasting 10 consecutive weeks from June to August. Interns are expected to work on-site 3-5 days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with full-time engineers and cross-functional teams.

• Gain hands-on experience contributing code to MongoDB’s products and services.

• Learn and apply software engineering best practices and development methodologies.

• Participate in mentorship, career coaching, and community-building activities.

• Contribute to impactful projects with real-world applications.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

• Strong foundation in computer science theory, data structures, algorithms, and software design.

• Fluent in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, C++, JavaScript, or Node.js.

• Must have at least one quarter/semester remaining after the internship concludes (Graduation: Fall 2026, Spring 2027, Fall 2027, or Spring 2028).

• Authorized to work in the United States. Company sponsorship may be available for certain roles.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Base salary: $108,160 - $112,320 USD (prorated for internship duration).
