Solution Advisory Manager

 

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Solution Advisory Manager to lead our Global SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) Blackbelt Solution Advisory team. This leader will be responsible for guiding, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of Solution Advisors focused on App Development, AI/ML, SAP HANA Cloud, Business AI, and API Management.

You will combine technical acumen with strong leadership and project management skills to ensure the team delivers exceptional customer experiences, drives adoption and consumption of BTP, and partners effectively across sales, services, and product organizations.

Key Focus Areas
 

  • Leadership & Team Enablement: Inspire, coach, and develop a team of BTP Solution Advisors to deliver technical excellence and customer impact.
  • Strategic Execution: Drive high-quality engagement across the sales cycle, ensuring the team effectively positions SAP BTP as the innovation platform of choice.
  • Customer Success: Oversee customer-facing initiatives that accelerate adoption, consumption, and long-term value realization of SAP BTP.
  • Project & Resource Management: Manage team capacity, priorities, and execution of multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery of proof-of-concepts, demos, and architectural guidance.
  • Thought Leadership: Represent the organization at customer events, executive briefings, and industry forums, while supporting the team in building their own thought leadership profiles.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a trusted partner to internal stakeholders (Sales, Product Management, Services, Customer Success, and Partners) to drive alignment and business outcomes.
     

Responsibilities
 

  • Lead and grow a team of BTP Solution Engineers, ensuring skills development and career progression.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and feedback to maximize team performance and customer impact.
  • Define and track success metrics for presales effectiveness and customer engagement.
  • Actively participate in key customer meetings, providing executive-level presence and technical guidance.
  • Align presales strategies with sales goals and corporate priorities.
  • Manage team projects, balancing resources across priorities, and ensuring high-quality delivery.
  • Promote innovation within the team by fostering a culture of learning, experimentation, and collaboration.
     

Experience
 

  • 10+ years of experience in presales, solution engineering, or related technical customer-facing roles.
  • 3+ years of experience in leading or managing technical teams.
  • Preferred: strong knowledge of SAP BTP (application development, AI/ML, HANA Cloud, API Management, integration).
  • Experience with application development tools/languages (e.g. low / pro code development, Mendix, Salesforce, Javascript, Python, etc.) and/or integration tools (e.g. Mulesoft or Boomi).
  • Knowledge of hyperscaler offerings such as Azure, GCP, or AWS
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in complex customer engagements and digital transformation programs.
  • Excellent project and resource management skills, with a proven record of delivering multiple priorities in parallel.
  • Outstanding communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to influence at executive levels internally and externally.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
