Solution Architect

Description:

Rubrik is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Systems Engineering team within the Developer Platform organization. This team ensures the reliability, scalability, and resilience of Rubrik’s Cloud Data Management and Security Cloud products. The role involves developing tools, automation frameworks, AI-driven failure analysis systems, and large-scale distributed test environments that support high-quality releases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop infrastructure automation for on-demand complex product deployments.

• Build and enhance tools for monitoring, alerting, telemetry, and debugging in customer-like test environments.

• Develop AI-powered solutions for auto-triage, root-cause analysis (RCA), and self-healing workflows.

• Create scalable frameworks for stress, scale, performance, and resilience testing.

• Build simulators to optimize testing time and cost.

• Support internal teams by providing self-service validation tools and infrastructure.

• Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Maintain long-running, production-like environments to proactively surface issues.

Qualifications:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.

• Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and software design.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language—Python strongly preferred.

• Experience with distributed systems or cloud-native architectures.

• Familiarity with virtualization, containers, storage systems, networking, and databases.

• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another public cloud platform.

• Experience building AI or LLM-powered workflows.

Desired Characteristics / Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building high-scale, high-performance systems.

• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Ansible, ELK).

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and work collaboratively.

• Strong problem-solving ability and curiosity about complex systems.

Additional Requirements:

• Full-time, on-site role in Palo Alto, CA.

• Must be able to work cross-functionally and autonomously in a fast-moving engineering culture.
