Palo Alto Networks, a global leader in cybersecurity, is looking for an experienced Solutions Consultant 2 to join their team in Chicago, IL. This role is the evolved form of traditional Sales Engineering, combining technical leadership with strategic solutioning to help customers transform their cybersecurity landscape using Palo Alto Networks' cutting-edge solutions.
As a Solutions Consultant, you'll be at the forefront of enabling clients to understand their technical challenges, identify ideal solutions, and realize maximum value from their investment in Palo Alto Networks’ platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and execute strategic technical account plans to meet and exceed sales targets.
Understand complex customer environments and design integrated cybersecurity solutions across Palo Alto Networks' product portfolio.
Drive customer adoption and ensure long-term success by collaborating with Customer Success, Professional Services, and Specialist teams.
Lead customer discovery sessions and technical engagements, including demos, workshops, and presentations.
Manage technical validations and proof-of-concepts, ensuring alignment with customer goals.
Promote professional services to ensure rapid realization of business value.
Stay current with industry trends, competitor landscape, and Palo Alto Networks offerings.
Serve as a technical advisor and trusted partner to customer stakeholders and influencers.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 6+ years of experience in a pre-sales or sales engineering role.
Deep knowledge in at least one of the following domains: Networking, Cybersecurity, Cloud Security, SASE, or SOC/Endpoint Security.
Demonstrated ability to influence stakeholders and deliver complex technical solutions.
Proven experience with cybersecurity platforms including Network Security, SaaS, CNAPP, or SOC Transformation tools.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience with multi-product, long-cycle complex sales preferred.

Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary + commission target: $198000 to $273000/year
Monthly Equivalent: $16500 to $22750
