Under the direction of the Manager of Centralized Operational Excellence, OPM the Operational Performance Management Associate will play an essential role in the review and project management. The primary responsibility of this role is to support the organization’s Operational and Client Delivery leaders through successful implementation of all best practice recommendations.

What You Will Do:

  • Identify and document new governmental regulations though research and opportunities presented by the Operational leaders. Independent research is a key component through reading of pertinent articles delivered by HFMA, HBI, and Becker’s Healthcare Review.
  • Identify areas of impact related to governmental regulation implementation. Impact(s) to the workflows/processes, in addition to training/education should be considered.
  • Perform discovery sessions with Operational and Client Delivery leaders to capture and document steps and accountability for all tasks to be completed to ensure successful implementation of governmental regulations.
  • Associates will review, digest, implement and be solely responsible to operationalize all needed tasks for each service line, for both Acute and Physician, on behalf of the service lines for all clients affected by the regulation.
  • Prepare project plans using the project management software outlining all tasks, owners of each task for accountability, and due dates necessary to ensure timely implementation of projects.
  • Identify and document operational risks and controls within the project plan and make recommendations to mitigate risks. Escalate risks to implementation using the formal escalation process.
  • Schedule/coordinate all meetings according to implementation calendar to successfully manage project plans from identification through implementation, providing support and recommendations to Operational and Client Delivery leaders.
  • Prepare and present quality reports/dashboards of all projects in flight.
  • Coordinate with operations, internal/external communication as needed and submit to MarCom using the formal communication process for distribution.
