Description:
E-Therapy is looking to hire a Remote School Speech-Language Pathologist to join their team and make a positive impact on K-12 students’ communication skills. This is a fully remote position, but applicants must reside in California.
As part of the team, you’ll be responsible for conducting assessments, developing therapy plans, and delivering therapy services to students. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about making a difference in an underserved school population and looking for flexibility in their work schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Assessments: Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
Therapy Plans: Develop individualized therapy plans based on assessment results.
Direct Therapy: Provide therapy for areas such as articulation, phonology, fluency, language comprehension, and pragmatic skills.
Collaboration: Work with teachers, parents, and other educational team members to support students' communication goals.
Progress Monitoring: Monitor and adjust therapy plans based on student progress.
Documentation: Accurately document therapy sessions, progress reports, and other relevant information.
IEP Participation: Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide input regarding students’ needs.
Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
State Licensure: Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Experience: Experience in a school or pediatric setting, and proficiency in speech-language assessment tools and therapy techniques.
Teletherapy Experience: Preferred, but not required.
AAC Knowledge: Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems preferred.
Bilingual Advantage: Additional skills, such as bilingual abilities, may be an advantage.
