The Cargo Sales Senior Account Executive is responsible for the management of high-value portfolio clients to drive revenue growth and ensure customer satisfaction. This role is responsible for introducing cargo products to the market, maintaining sales and high standard of service to customers through the following duties:

  • Enhancing long-term business relationships with top-tier cargo clients by analyzing global coverage opportunities and by offering competitive solutions to those opportunities.
  • Maintain a high level of sales call discipline/F2F client visibility
  • Responsible for mid-term, long-term and export selling, consignee sales and import sales
  • Craft and maintain account profiles in United systems
  • Build awareness of all UA products and services in the area to magnify market influence and generate future sales
  • Works with Regional Sales Manager to assist with leadership on West Division projects/assignments including collaboration with Ops and Revenue Management teams
  • Develops innovative management strategies to improve the speed of booking process including improvement of online booking %’s.
  • Improves cargo revenues by developing account business plans and forecasting. Delivers Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to each portfolio client.
  • Responsible for rate negotiations and implementation including ad-hoc capability. Actively manages customer allotments. Supports network optimization tools and processes. Partners with Freight Accounting for rate/billing oversight
  • Responsibility for developing bottom>top business relationships with each portfolio client, including corporate officers.
  • Provides total and efficient service to accounts. Takes ownership of account management and relationship management for assigned portfolio. Maintains creative business development approach ensuring balanced advocacy for business and customer needs
