Sr. Design Engineer

Description:

This position is responsible for the development of approval drawings and prototypes for the single-use systems business. This includes ensuring the assembly will meet the performance criteria required by the customer. This position will work closely with account managers, customer service, production and quality.

Avantor is looking for a proactive and curious Sr. Design Engineer to optimize our Avantor Fluid Handling team, delivering results against some of the most complex business and technology initiatives.

This role will be a full-time hybrid position based out of our Devens, MA facility. You will have the opportunity to develop the approval drawings and prototypes for our single-use systems business. This includes working closely with multiple departments and ensuring assembly will meet the performance criteria required by each customer. Avantor’s Engineering team is part of our Avantor Fluid Handling organization. This global team supports the innovation and growth objectives of major drug production

companies across the world by helping with the integration of single use technology into their lab processes and operations.

What We’re Looking For
 

• Education: Engineering degree (mechanical or biopharma preferred)
• Experience: 1-3 years with relevant experience
  • Highly organized and good communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Ability to grasp technical concepts and their application to customer’s processes
• Certifications: Valid driver's license required
• Collaboration Tool: AutoCAD and Microsoft office suite, including excel and powerpoint
