Sr Director

 

Description:

Seeking a dynamic, well-versed, and initiative-taking finance leader with deep expertise in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), strategic deal execution, financial planning and analysis, long-range planning, and team executive. The Sr. Director will play a pivotal role in spearheading inorganic growth initiatives, leading all phases of the M&A lifecycle—including opportunity identification, due diligence, valuation, deal structuring, integration planning, and post-merger analysis—while overseeing the FP&A team for the consolidated Stations group and CMV Revenue. This role reports to the CFO, News, Stations, and CMV, and collaborates with senior executives and cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights and support strategic decision-making across Linear and Digital platforms.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Mergers and Acquisitions
 

  • Assist with the end-to-end M&A process, including sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisition opportunities to expand the station footprint and drive strategic growth.
  • Direct financial due diligence, valuation modeling, and scenario analysis for potential transactions, ensuring robust risk assessment and alignment with corporate strategy.
  • Oversee the integration of companies following a merger, ensure their operations and finances function collaboratively, and monitor the resulting advantages.
  • Guide the development of detailed trend analyses, long-range business plans, revenue and expense budgets/forecasts, and monthly reporting processes to ensure accuracy and predictability.
  • Prepare high-level presentations and deal summaries for executive management, providing clear recommendations and strategic insights.
     

Finance
 

  • Deliver comprehensive variance explanations on monthly actual reporting and forecasts, revising analyses as new information emerges.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes to ensure accuracy and predictability
  • Synthesize complex financial and strategic information into clear, concise formats for stakeholders.
  • Supervise and mentor the FP&A team, fostering professional development and an inclusive, high-performance culture.
  • Ensure solid insight and execution of all financial operations, including accounting, free cash flow reporting, and application of revenue recognition methodologies.
  • In charge of supervising financial activities to make sure they are completed promptly and are fully comprehended. Responsibilities include managing accounting duties, tracking cash flow, examining budget variances, and following the correct revenue recognition rules.
  • Responsible for supervising and executing financial operations, including accounting, free cash flow reporting, variance analyses, and the application of revenue recognition methodologies for proper accounting treatments
     

Basic Qualifications
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or Economics.
  • Minimum 12+ years in Finance, with significant experience in M&A; Media/Entertainment/Digital focus preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint.
  • Experience creating materials for senior management.
  • Highly analytical, able to synthesize data and provide insightful narratives.
     

Additional Qualifications
 

  • Proven track record of leading successful M&A transactions and integrations.
  • Strong comprehension of Linear Broadcast/Syndication and Digital Space.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel & PowerPoint.
