Sr. Hr Coordinator

 

Description:

We are seeking a Sr. HR Coordinator who will support vertical leaders in SOM Central Finance by providing HR and project assistance. They represent SOM Central Finance Human Resources professionally to faculty,
administrators, staff, and external contacts, addressing inquiries, resolving administrative issues, and ensuring compliance with university policies.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

Human Resource 80%

Recruitment

  • Manage position requests via SOM Central Finance committees and NEXUS system.
  • Handle requisitions in JHU Success Factors for supported org units.
  • Coordinate candidate interviews, screenings, and reference checks.
  • Facilitate placement of temporary staff and oversee approval processes.


Payroll/Compensation

  • Process Internal Service Requests and payroll actions and oversee JHU payroll functions.
  • Track hourly employee time and maintain E210 time tracking system.
  • Manage payroll adjustments and monitor overpayments.
  • Handle promotions, transfers, terminations, and payroll issues.

FML/STD

  • Assist staff with FML-related queries and process disability claims.
  • Track and update FML determinations and changes.
  • Compile and provide documentation to staff and HR Compliance Services department.

Process Coordination/Record Keeping

  • Maintain personnel records and handle performance reviews.
  • Manage HR files and ensure confidentiality of documents.

HR Support

  • Provide coordinator support and resolve staff inquiries.
  • Offer backup for HR teams and manage employee access.
  • Coordinate badge and property collection upon termination.
