Sr. Mean Stack Developer

American Unit is seeking a Sr. MEAN Stack Developer to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring over 8 years of expertise in full-stack development, particularly in the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js). This leadership role requires strong skills in developing microservices, API security (OAuth2, JWT), and mentoring team members to ensure adherence to best technical practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of web applications using the MEAN stack (MongoDB, Express.js, Angular, Node.js)

• Design and implement microservices architecture with Node.js (Express/NestJS)

• Develop and consume Web APIs while ensuring strong security practices (OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect)

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for feature definition, ensuring high performance and responsiveness

• Utilize Angular, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+) to develop robust applications

• Manage both SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Elasticsearch) databases

• Leverage AWS services (Lambda, S3, API Gateway) for enhanced application deployment

• Champion best coding practices, including OOP principles and design patterns

• Implement unit testing using frameworks like Jest, Mocha, Jasmine, or Karma

• Manage Git workflows for version control, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution

• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines for streamlined deployments

• Create dashboards and visualizations using Kibana, Grafana, and Elasticsearch

• Mentor and assist team members in their professional development, fostering a collaborative learning environment

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field

• 8+ years of experience in full-stack development, particularly with the MEAN stack

• Proficiency in Angular (latest versions) and TypeScript/JavaScript (ES6+)

• Strong understanding of database technologies, including SQL and NoSQL

• Proven experience with AWS cloud services and infrastructure

• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills across both frontend and backend

• Strong leadership skills and the ability to mentor and develop team members
