The Staff Product Manager will play a strategic role in enhancing the developer experience (DX) across The Trade Desk’s engineering organization. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, product strategy, and leadership, with the primary mission of ensuring developers have the best possible tools, processes, and environment to innovate and deliver value.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own and refine the software development life cycle (SDLC) within The Trade Desk, from onboarding new developers through feature planning, coding, deployment, and experimentation.

• Define and implement the developer experience (DX) strategy, including improvements in development environments, code review processes, cross-team submissions, and governance standards.

• Lead the creation and integration of AI-driven tools and strategies that enhance developer productivity and innovation.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and stakeholders to establish data-driven metrics, measure outcomes, and execute roadmap initiatives.

• Provide leadership for technical projects and AI development strategies in a fast-paced, complex environment.

• Champion best practices, industry trends, and innovations in developer tools and DevOps to continually optimize developer workflows.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of experience in product management within enterprise software development environments.

• Deep understanding of AI’s role in developer productivity, including AI IDE plugins, CLI tools, AI agent frameworks, and MCP servers.

• Proven track record of working backwards from developer needs to create impactful, long-term strategies.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to engage in technical discussions, drive consensus, and report on trade-offs and risks to leadership.

• Demonstrated success delivering large-scale, complex software projects with measurable business impact.

• Passion for developer experience, emerging technologies, DevOps, and building innovative tools.

• Resilience and problem-solving mindset to navigate challenges with creativity and persistence.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary: $137,300 – $251,800 per year (≈ $11,441 – $20,983 per month).
