CoreWeave, the AI Hyperscaler™ recognized among TIME100’s most influential companies of 2024, is seeking an experienced and innovative Staff Software Engineer for Network Services to lead the architecture, scaling, and operations of advanced network systems designed for large-scale AI workloads. This role involves tackling complex technical challenges to deliver world-class network services that support high-throughput, distributed computing, AI/ML training, and mission-critical workloads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Service Implementation: Architect, design, and deploy cutting-edge network services optimized for AI/ML workloads, enhancing both east-west and north-south traffic efficiency. Utilize next-generation networking solutions such as smart NICs, programmable fabrics, and software-defined networking.

  • Operations & Reliability: Maintain top-tier performance and uptime of CoreWeave’s network services through proactive monitoring, automation, incident management, and root cause analysis. Drive automation in service deployment, provisioning, and operational processes.

  • Security & Compliance: Collaborate with InfoSec to enforce robust network security, traffic segmentation, and DDoS mitigation. Ensure compliance with international data privacy and sovereignty regulations.

  • Collaboration & Innovation: Work closely with cross-functional teams to execute the network service roadmap, contribute to open-source communities, and implement emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering and operating large-scale network services.

  • Strong expertise in software-defined networking, routing, switching, distributed network design, and peering.

  • Proven track record in scaling data center and cloud networks for high-throughput workloads.

  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Ansible or Terraform.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with smart NIC-based service offloading.

  • Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, overlay networks, and service mesh architectures.
