Description:
Copeland, a global leader in climate technologies engineered for sustainability, is seeking a highly driven Vilter Strategic Accounts Manager to join their North America Sales Team. This role focuses on driving the adoption of Vilter industrial refrigeration and industrial heating solutions across the West Coast. The ideal candidate is a motivated "hunter," skilled in identifying and securing projects, fostering relationships with end-users, consultants, and contractors, and positioning Vilter as the preferred brand.
The Strategic Account Manager will lead the entire sales process—from opportunity identification through closure—while collaborating across departments including project management, engineering, operations, customer service, lifecycle services, and legal. The role requires significant travel, strong customer engagement, and a passion for driving sustainability in industrial refrigeration solutions.
Develop and execute strategic account plans to exceed sales and margin objectives.
Realize sales targets for Vilter heat pumps and refrigeration compression packages.
Build and strengthen relationships with customers and partners to increase preference for Vilter products.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts, project details, and competitor insights using Salesforce CRM.
Present projects in weekly Opportunity Review Board meetings and participate in tradeshows and industry associations.
Oversee customer issue resolution, ensuring high satisfaction and positive experience.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Lifecycle Services, Product Management) to promote new technologies and trends.
Travel regularly (up to 100 nights per year) to meet customers and visit the Milwaukee factory (up to 24 nights annually).
Operate ethically and in accordance with company policies and legal requirements.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (equivalent engineering experience may be considered).
Minimum 5 years’ experience in industrial refrigeration sales/account management.
Strong knowledge of Ammonia refrigeration systems preferred.
Expertise in contract negotiations, financial calculations, and commercial concepts.
Established relationships within the California market.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and commercial teams.
Self-starter with a disciplined and tenacious approach to opportunity management.
Competitive monthly salary: 11,666 – 13,333 USD/month
Pro-rated bonus: 2,083 USD/year
