As an established part of the Government Contract & Customer Management Team, the Strategic Account Representatives-2 (SAR-2) are responsible for a portfolio of moderately complex/medium risk Contractual Government Accounts and own the contract administration throughout the entire contract lifecycle, from contract award through performance, and closeout. The SAR-2 will serve as the primary contact for contract-related issues, including those related to products, pricing & services, and will coordinate cross-functionally to resolve. The SAR-2 also partners with Sales and other back office teams to provide exceptional customer service and support for daily activities critical to the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Administration throughout the entire contract lifecycle, from pre-proposal development through contract award, performance, and closeout.
  • Monitor compliance with all contractual terms and immediately escalates any areas of concern
  • Manages the government customer relationship in conjunction with assigned sales representative and Field Vice Presidents
  • Prepare and monitor reports such as back-order reports, pricing discrepancies, licensing expirations, contract renewals, cost savings, other reports, as needed
  • Tracks open customer issues and partners with Sales and other back-office teams for timely resolution, inclusive of open A/R issues and keeping DSO within terms. Drive root cause analysis initiatives and deliver on agreed upon commitments.
  • Formulary Management - to include discontinued and replacement items
  • Develop and execute new approaches/procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the department and services performed
  • Handle/Manage special projects based on customer key initiatives
  • Help maintain customer profitability and/or performance
  • Attend customer meetings and deliver progress updates on key initiatives and goals
  • Assist with Business Reviews
  • Manages new customer onboarding and tracking

Minimum Job Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities):

Specialized Knowledge/Skills -

  • 2+ years relevant experience
  • 4- year degree or equivalent experience
