Subject Matter Expert

Description:

Sligo Software Solutions Inc., a reputed IT consulting and software development firm serving clients across domains such as IT, Government, Banking, and Healthcare, is seeking a highly experienced Power Platform & Dynamics 365 Subject Matter Expert (SME) for a part-time hybrid position in New York City. The project is currently remote and spans 14 months, supporting a NY State Government client.

This position is designed for a seasoned professional who can provide expert-level guidance and support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform tools, including Power Apps and Power Automate. The selected SME will work approximately 7 hours per week and will participate in technical solution design, troubleshooting, configuration, and strategic advisement. The role also includes occasional documentation, prototyping, and cross-team collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the technical SME for Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Power Platform tools.

• Offer ad hoc support in solution design, troubleshooting, and optimization.

• Guide internal teams on platform configurations, customizations, and low-code/no-code implementations.

• Support the creation of automated workflows and integrated data models.

• Participate in working sessions or reviews on an as-needed basis.

• Assist in documentation, prototyping, and implementation planning to support business decision-making.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree

• Minimum 15 years of total professional experience, with at least 10 years in relevant roles

• At least 2 years of experience in a supervisory capacity

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power Apps, Power Automate)

• Experience configuring and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 core modules

• Proven ability to support low-code solutions and workflow automation

• Skilled in interpreting business requirements and designing technical solutions

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Familiarity with deployment processes, integration management, and environment support is a plus

Desired Certification:

• MB-600: Dynamics 365 + Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (Highly preferred)
