Duties

  • You will manage the entire Capital Improvement workload at the assigned PWD.
  • You will provide senior leadership related to the three primary CI roles and responsibilities in the PMEB (Project Management, Design Management, and Construction Management).
  • You will supervise a diverse technical staff comprised of civilians and military Civil Engineer Corps (CEC) Junior Officers (JOs) as well.
  • You will make decisions on non-routine, costly, or controversial training requests.
  • You will evaluate performance of subordinates, supervisors, second, and third tier employees.

  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field Facilities Engineer Level III. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
  • Registration as a Professional Engineer or Registered Architect is required.
