Supplier Quality Engineer

The Supplier Quality Engineer is responsible for driving supplier quality performance, leading continuous improvement initiatives, monitoring and supporting our suppliers to be the best Cytiva partner possible.

This position reports to the Senior Quality Assurance Logistics Manager and is part of the Global Distribution & Supplier Quality Team, this role is located in Indianapolis, Indiana and will be an on-site role.

What You Will Do
 

  • Drive Supplier Quality Performance & Compliance
     

Lead the implementation of supplier quality plans, monitor supplier performance, and ensure full compliance with Quality Management System (QMS) and regulatory requirements through regular reviews, audits, and quality monitoring activities.
 

  • Lead Corrective, Preventive & Continuous Improvement Activities
     

Develop and execute supplier Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans, support internal deviations related to logistics, and collaborate cross‑functionally with Suppliers, Logistics, Sourcing, and Manufacturing to drive process improvements and reduce the cost of poor quality.
 

  • Manage Supplier Qualification, Audits & Quality Governance
     

Build and execute the Supplier Audit Plan, conduct technical and warehousing/route qualification activities, manage supplier quality agreements, and maintain and continually develop the Quality Management System for Distribution and Logistics quality requirements.

Who You Are
 

  • Earned a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field with experience in manufacturing, engineering or quality assurance
  • A quality professional with a minimum of 3 years of quality related work experience, that includes direct experience in quality and supplier quality management, preferably in life sciences
  • Experience with 3PL, warehousing, transportation, and brokerage partners in biotech/pharma, with strong knowledge of supplier qualification, audits, change control, CAPA/RCA, QMS, training, and route qualification.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategies that ensure compliance with Cytiva, regulatory, and industry standards, influencing cross‑functional and global teams to drive improvement.
  • Self‑driven, results‑focused problem solver with strong root‑cause skills, committed to collaboration and continuous improvement.
     

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
 

  • Operational experience within transportation, distribution, warehousing, or transport brokerage environments is considered a strong advantage
     

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
 

  • Ability to travel up to 20% within the US and globally
