Description:
The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for driving data-driven decision-making and supporting strategic initiatives across Home Chef's supply chain. This individual will support vendor RFPs, conduct market research, perform contract negotiation analyses, develop tools and dashboards for the team,and own the reporting of weekly KPIs. Cross-functional collaboration and the ability to adapt analytical support across the supply chain are key components of the role.
Detailed Responsibilities
Analyze Supply Chain Metrics and Develop Initiatives to Drive Improvement:
- Enable data-driven decision making by reporting on core KPIs and performing ad-hoc analyses
- Examples of past projects include: analyzing market trends to inform expected pricing increases for budgeting
Category Strategy & Analysis:
- Conduct thorough market research to understand trends and opportunities.
- Analyze vendor proposals and bids to determine the best sourcing options.
- Present data-driven recommendations for category strategies and contract negotiations.
- Monitor supplier spend and volume allocation to ensure budget is met and demand does not exceed vendor capacities
- Identify total cost of ownership (TCO) reduction opportunities across rate, demand and process levers
Vendor RFP Management:
- Support RFPs for vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Evaluate RFP responses, focusing on pricing, vendor capabilities, and contract terms.
- Collaborate with the Category Managers on final supplier selection and contract finalization.
Contract Management & Vendor Performance:
- Monitor vendor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
- Identify opportunities for cost reductions and negotiate favorable contract terms.
- Maintain up-to-date records of contract agreements, expirations, and renewals.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work with internal teams such as Operations, Procurement, and Culinary to ensure various processes run smoothly and efficiently
- Provide analysis and recommendations to improve cost efficiencies and vendor reliability.
- Serve as the liaison between vendors and internal teams for contract and performance-related matters.
This position requires 10% travel.
Qualifications

- 2+ years of experience in market research, strategic sourcing, or procurement, preferably within packaging or supply chain.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
- Able to manage many inputs and prioritize effectively for vendor management.
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, or a related field.
