Description:
McAdams, a leading full-service land planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering, transportation, and geomatics firm, is seeking a Survey Project Manager for its Tampa, Florida location. This role is essential for managing and delivering high-quality survey projects while ensuring seamless coordination between clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders. The Survey Project Manager will oversee the entire project lifecycle, including scope management, scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance, while maintaining strong client relationships and fostering cross-departmental collaboration.
Manage the scope, schedule, and budget for assigned projects.
Review project contracts and ensure all deliverables are completed within agreed timelines.
Monitor project costs, track time charges, and implement necessary adjustments to stay within budget.
Identify changes in project scope and coordinate with Group Manager and/or Director to negotiate contract or schedule modifications.
Provide regular project status updates to internal and external stakeholders.
Make final technical decisions related to survey and staking activities.
Review deliverables for quality assurance and adherence to company standards before external release.
Coordinate project submissions with local municipalities and regulatory bodies.
Offer technical guidance to project personnel and resolve operational challenges as needed.
Maintain close client communication throughout the project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction and transparency regarding progress, quality, and methodology.
Foster and maintain long-term client relationships and actively cross-sell company services.
Contribute to the growth of the land surveying sector within the region by pursuing new business opportunities.
Provide feedback on staff performance and training requirements to the Group Manager.
Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with company safety standards and policies.
Communicate respectfully with clients and stakeholders to uphold a positive company image.
Stay informed about emerging trends and innovations in the land surveying and geomatics industry.
Must hold a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license in the State of Florida.
Bachelor's degree in Geomatics preferred.
2–5 years of combined office and field experience in land surveying.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-discipline engineering firm with various client requirements.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a team of surveying professionals.
Strong project management skills, including client relationship management and independent project execution.
Excellent technical expertise in survey project execution and delivery.
On-site position in Tampa, FL.
Requires strong collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple regions including North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas, and Florida.
