Systems Engineer

Description:

Radiansys Inc. is seeking a skilled Debug Engineer / Systems Engineer to work remotely during PST hours. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in debugging tools, crash dump analysis, and symbol server management, specifically within Windows OS environments. This role is crucial for enhancing system reliability by implementing debug symbol collection, storage, and crash dump strategies across QA and production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement debug symbol collection integrated with every build process.

• Develop and maintain a centralized debug symbol storage strategy using symbol servers such as Azure Artifacts.

• Define and execute strategies to collect user mode crash dumps from systems in QA labs and production, ensuring privacy compliance (handling PHI/PII).

• Provide training to engineering teams on crash dump analysis using debugging tools like WinDbg.

• Collaborate closely with engineers working on core products to elevate their debugging skills.

• Document all processes and training materials for future reference and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Extensive knowledge of debug symbols, symbol servers, and related tooling, with experience implementing symbol servers using Azure Artifacts or equivalent.

• Proficiency with build automation tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Git.

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation of build and debug steps.

• Understanding of networking and storage solutions (network shares, SMB, cloud storage) for centralized symbol and dump storage.

• Expertise in collecting and analyzing user mode crash dumps using WinDbg.

• Experience handling sensitive data such as PHI/PII and ensuring compliance with regulations (e.g., HIPAA).

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent; relevant certifications are a plus.

• Ability to work proactively and collaboratively within a team.

• Strong communication and documentation skills to support training and process improvement.

Additional Information:

• This is a contract position offering C2C or W2 engagement.

• The candidate will work remotely aligned with PST hours.

• Training experience is important, as the role involves upskilling other engineers in debugging processes.
