Tax Department Lead

Description:

CyberCoders is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to take a leadership role in managing the company’s tax department. This is a strategic position responsible for overseeing compliance, minimizing liabilities, and developing forward-thinking tax strategies. The successful candidate will bring strong tax expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to provide critical guidance on complex financial and tax matters.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns and all related compliance documents.

• Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the organization’s tax position and reduce liability.

• Provide expert guidance and support to the finance team regarding compliance and tax matters.

• Stay current with evolving federal, state, and local tax laws and ensure timely policy adjustments.

• Conduct audits and reviews of tax filings to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

• Support business growth initiatives, including tax planning for mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential is mandatory.

• At least 5 years of professional experience in tax management or a similar leadership role.

• Strong understanding of tax legislation, compliance requirements, and financial regulations.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
