Description:
📢 We’re Hiring: Tax Strategist + Seasonal Paraplanner (Remote | 1099)
💸 $35–$55/hr depending on experience + responsibilities
Hey all — I’m looking for a seasonal tax-savvy paraplanner to join my team at a growing, tech-forward RIA that works almost exclusively with CRNAs (nurse anesthetists) and other healthcare professionals.
Most of our clients are 1099, working in multiple states. So yeah — taxes get interesting.
We run a surge model, meaning we batch client meetings into two focused windows:
🗓️ February–April
🗓️ September–November
That’s when I need backup the most. As we continue to add 4–5 clients a month, this role could evolve into more year-round work or full-time responsibilities.
🧰 What You'll Be Doing:
Spring Surge (Feb–Apr)
✅ Prep/review 1040s, 1120-S, 1065s
✅ Clean up year-end books (Xero or QBO)
✅ Chase down docs (W-2s, 1099s, K-1s) via email
✅ Run payroll in Gusto for multi-state 1099s
✅ Help respond to IRS notices if they pop up
Fall Surge (Sept–Nov)
✅ Gather YTD paystubs
✅ Run tax projections in Holistiplan
✅ Spot tax-saving opportunities (401k, HSA, Roth, etc.)
✅ Follow repeatable workflows in Hubly
Off-season
☑️ Help with estimated tax payments, cleanup projects, onboarding new clients
✅ Must-Haves:
– 2+ seasons of tax prep (CPA or EA ideal, but not required)
– Confident with 1040s, 1120-S, and 1065s
– Familiar with Holistiplan
– Bonus if you’ve worked in Xero / QBO and Gusto
– Solid written communicator (you’ll be emailing clients often)
– Obsessed with processes
– Happy to stay behind the scenes (no client-facing meetings)
💵 Compensation: $35–$55/hr
Depends on your experience, credentials, and the scope of what you're handling.
