Description:
RiverWoods Durham is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented Full-Time Server to join its vibrant and talented Culinary Services Team. In this role, you’ll have the rewarding opportunity to provide exceptional dining experiences to residents in an Independent Living community setting. The position combines quality food service, customer engagement, and teamwork in a warm, community-driven environment.
The ideal schedule for this position is Sunday–Tuesday (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM) and Wednesday–Thursday (11:00 AM – 7:30 PM), though other schedule options may be available for the right candidate.

Set up the breakfast station according to established service standards, prepare and serve breakfast items to residents using the POS system.
Ensure proper place settings with clean, sanitized flatware, glassware, and tableware.
Clean and break down breakfast stations, then reset and prepare for lunch service with appropriate deli setup.
Take and process lunch orders accurately through the POS system.
Prepare assigned menu items in coordination with the central kitchen and serve residents in a timely and professional manner.
Remove used tableware, clean and sanitize all items, and store them properly for next use.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the dining area according to daily checklists and safety standards.
Assist in maintaining adequate stock levels of dining and service supplies.
Operate general kitchen equipment including ovens, mixers, slicers, and dishwashers safely and efficiently.
Collaborate with the culinary team to deliver outstanding meal service and a positive dining experience for residents.
Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience: Minimum 1 year of culinary or food service experience, with both hot and cold food items; server experience is preferred.
Certification: ServSafe Certification preferred.
Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.
Excellent communication, organization, and customer service skills.
Team player with a strong work ethic and a commitment to resident satisfaction.
