Our talented team is searching for a Technical Development Application Specialist, Spray, to work at our Houston, TX site location. As a member of the Spray NA TD team, you will be responsible for providing technical support across various spray technologies; manage and maintain spray equipment; collaborate with formulators on product development and third-party testing; work closely with Field Tech Service during field trials; and assist QC/ Production in ensuring quality of products.

- Providing technical direction as the spray application expert to the Tech Development team on formulation, field trials, and evaluation of new systems.
- Working with Credentials Team and technical colleagues on preparing developmental systems for 3rd party testing and credentialing agencies.
- Providing technical training to internal colleagues and customers, being part of the technical community, and spreading technical know-how and expertise among team members.
- Coordinating with territory sales managers in providing hands-on training with spray foam installers and leveraging your ability to troubleshoot common proportioner equipment / spray foam products with customers (whether in-person or virtually)
- Assisting on new product launches which includes training Field Technical Service team / customers on new product processing and application guidelines
- Collaborating with TD team on spray equipment maintenance; management of change with written procedures; and training/ mentorship on use of equipment.
- Participating in EHS and housekeeping programs for Houston site.
If you have...
- A High School Diploma with 10 years industry experience; an Associate’s Degree with 3 years industry experience; or B.S. Degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Material Science
- Experience in polyurethane spray foam applications a plus.
- Experience in equipment maintenance, carpentry, and handling of power tools
- Proven effective communication skills with teammates and customers.
- Capability for working in a multi-tasking environment, being team-oriented, and handling difficult situations while solving problems efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to travel across NA (less than 25%) to assist Field Service Reps / Sales in product trials or attend industry conventions.
