Description:

Randstad Digital Americas is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Audio Visual Technician to join its team in Glen Allen, Virginia. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless technical support for both daily operations and high-profile events, such as executive meetings and offsite functions. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling A/V technology with professionalism while supporting both in-person and virtual environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver, set up, test, and operate a wide range of A/V equipment including microphones, cameras, and display systems.

• Provide specialized technical support for executive-level meetings and presentations, ensuring professional and flawless execution.

• Manage and support A/V requirements for offsite events, which may involve travel and unique venue setups.

• Facilitate smooth operation of virtual and hybrid meetings using platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

• Assist presenters and participants with conference room technologies and virtual collaboration tools.

• Troubleshoot and maintain A/V equipment, ensuring quick resolution of hardware and software issues.

• Move, lift, and coordinate equipment across different facility areas.

• Advise speakers on media alternatives and best practices for engaging virtual presentations.

• Adhere strictly to company safety and risk management policies, reporting accidents or injuries promptly.

• Participate in all designated training programs, both classroom and virtual.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

• 0–2 years of relevant work experience.

Skills & Aptitude:

• Technical Skills: Proficiency with Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Ability to work with standard electronic devices.

• Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication skills with a professional, respectful, and positive approach. Must demonstrate ownership of tasks, adaptability in fast-paced settings, discretion, and calmness under pressure.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours and move frequently.

• Regularly lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds.

• Capability to reach, bend, stoop, push, and pull as required.
