Description:
The Director, Go-to-Market Technology and Automation is a strategic, high impact individual contributor responsible for driving the business-side success of Fluence’s marketing technology and commercial platforms while serving as a hands-on builder for rapid automation and AI initiatives. Sitting at the intersection of Marketing, Sales Operations, and IT, this role translates business needs into a clear roadmap, delivers measurable outcomes, and prototypes lightweight automations and AI agents that improve productivity. Operating in a fast-paced environment that prioritizes speed and practical impact, the Director acts as the bridge between strategy and execution—leading cross-functional programs, evaluating and shaping GenAI capabilities, and laying the foundation for a future Go-to-Market Technology team as the organization scales.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the gotomarket technology roadmap across marketing systems, customer portals, integrations, and workflows with clear prioritization.
- Lead discovery with Marketing, Sales Operations, and Customer Success, translating needs into requirements, user stories, and release plans.
- Build and deploy rapid automation and AI use cases that remove repetitive work and deliver measurable time savings.
- Prototype solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Power Automate, and Google Workspace with Gemini, partnering with IT to scale them securely.
- Stay current on LLM and copilot capabilities and convert new features into practical, highvalue business improvements.
- Partner with Marketing Operations to define KPIs, ensure reliable data flows, and enable decisionready reporting.
- Embed governance and compliance steps into workflows so speed, controls, and approvals coexist naturally.
- Run multiple crossfunctional initiatives with strong program management, ensuring testing, change readiness, adoption, and clear communication.
Role measurement This is a Director-level ownership role with hands-on execution expectations; success is measured by shipped outcomes and adoption, not by headcount.
Not an admin role This is not a system administrator role; administration and heavy configuration sit with IT.
Front-runner plus explainer We are looking for a front-runner in large language models who can explain capabilities clearly, build working prototypes, and lead cross-functional delivery.
