Test Technician

Description:

Benchmark, a leading provider of innovative manufacturing solutions across industries including aerospace, defense, advanced computing, next-generation communications, complex industrials, medical, and semiconductor capital equipment, is seeking a skilled Test Technician II to join its Santa Ana, CA team. This role focuses on supporting and debugging test processes in manufacturing to ensure efficient operations and high-quality product delivery.

As a Test Technician II, you will be responsible for performing tests, debugging assemblies to the component level, maintaining test equipment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen activities. You will collaborate with engineers, provide training to operators, and actively contribute to the enhancement of testing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform debugging and testing of assemblies using schematics and block diagrams.

• Maintain and calibrate testing equipment.

• Troubleshoot operator problems and implement process improvements.

• Provide training and ongoing support to Test Operators.

• Communicate technical issues to Test Engineers and leadership teams.

• Assist in failure analysis, root cause analysis, and experimental testing.

• Recommend additional equipment needs for product debug areas.

• Participate in Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen activities to enhance efficiency.

• Comply with company security, safety, and operational policies.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in testing, measurement, or debugging.

• 2-year Engineering or Technical degree preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

• Proficiency in reading electrical schematics.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and customer-focused approaches.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and Teams conferencing software.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Hourly pay range: $26.17 – $39.25 (approx. $4,538 – $6,815 per month).

• Shift: Monday to Thursday, 05:00 AM – 03:30 PM (Shift 1).
